I always hate being the bearer of bad news. The aluminum-bronze 1988-1992 Mexican 1000 Pesos coin was demonetized in 1993, so it is no longer legal tender. The retail values to a coin collector are $0.85US in VF-20; $1.25US in XF-40; and $2.25US or more if like new. I hope that is not too painful.
