St. Patrick’s Day Leprechaun Scavenger Hunt ideas for Kindergarten?? What do you do?
I just remember in K going around the school looking for clues that a Leprechaun left and then at the end finding a pot of gold with chocolate gold coins. I think the upper grades will have testing that day (BOO!) so I am looking for ideas of what you do for the day! Thanks
In my classroom, I always have the kids make a little “house” for the leprechaun to take a nap in. Before they leave the room (for nap, lunch, outdoor play, gym play, etc.) they all leave a penny for the leprechaun. I sneak back in, I take all the pennies away and put a “map” in the house. The map shows a special place to locate. I usually do it by a tree, or in another classroom or something like that. When they get there, they each have those gold wrapped coins waiting for them, in exchange for the pennies. You could also do this with other candy!
