What’s the minimum requirements to start your own country?
-You can be a country within another country (Vatican City). So my little piece of land can be my kingdom.
-You can use another country’s currency as legal tender, while you can make your own symbolic currency against your own bullion (gold chain & gold bracelet). I’m pretty good at designing although I haven’t tried my hand at counterfeiting.
-Between my partner and me I have potential for numerous citizens- anyway looking at our country and it’s overpopulation problems, less is better. My friends are free to join if they wish.
Other than the fact that my country won’t be recognized (and I’m pretty sure I won’t be invaded given India’s Naxal problem and Islamic fundamentalists).
Is there anything I’m missing out that will not allow me from establishing my own country?
[Of course I'm not entirely serious, but the beauty of the internet lies in being able to act and think stupid more than I would be able to otherwise, but answers would be appreciated]
You want to make the land you currently live on your own country? To do that you will need the permission of the government to do that, because technically that land is theirs to control/rule. You would need to get them to agree to had the rule of that area over to you. After all, it’s not really your own country if you have to pay tax etc. to another government.
